Sanibel Island Wedding Photography

I titled this one Sanibel Island Wedding Photography, but actually Katherina and Volker were here for a Honeymoon from Germany! So this really was a Trash the Dress (sans any real trashing) or a Day After session. We always find the best lighting for beach photography is either sunset or sunrise. For their photography session we chose the Sanibel Island Lighthouse beach at sunrise (about 6:45 AM on this day). It was a perfect Sanibel Island day too! Not many people on the beach, the air was nice and cool for most of the photo shoot and this photographer had a great time!

We love Photography on Sanibel Island! Sarah and Jason were on the Island celebrating their 10thwedding anniversary! We approached their session the same way we would for an engagement photo session on the beach – a relaxing sunset walk with a nice mix of candid and posed photography. Weddings are my favorite type of photography, but a couple in love is always something to celebrate. Sanibel Island, as always, delivered with some great shells washed up on the beach, plenty of birds to watch and the bugs even behaved. Wedding Photography from Anita and Kaare’s Captiva Island Wedding!

Captiva may be just a short drive from Ft Myers beach, but the setting is worlds apart. Anita and Kaare were treated to a friendly Heron, pristine beach as far as the eye could see, dreamy clouds, and a perfect sunset! Coming all the way from Norway we were happy Captiva Island delivered everything the Bride, Groom, and this photographer could ask for! They rented the Coquina House on Captiva Drive, a few steps from the Mad Hatter Restaurant, for their destination wedding spot and Island getaway.

Engagement Sessions (E-sessions) are one of our favorite types of Photo shoots. No pressure, no real time lines, it’s just us & the couple in love! A few weeks back we had the pleasure of shooting an E-session for Sarah and Jacob, Downtown Fort Myers and also just off Fort Myers Beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better Florida sunset — and the couple was pretty great too!
