Naples Wedding Photography by Leap Year Photography at Bellasera Hotel! It was a pleasure being Tom and Natasha’s Naples wedding photographers. The weather for weddings in Southwest Florida is perfect this time of year and could not have been any nicer.

Bellasera Hotel is a great wedding venue in Old Naples and within walking distance of historic 5th Avenue South. As a wedding photographer I love having variety in the images we capture. Bellasera’s breathtaking lobby with the spiral staircase and velvet seating added such a dramatic backdrop for our beautiful Bride and Groom, Natasha and Tom.

OK, yes, I admit it, I do watch all the weddings shows like: Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes, Food Network Challenge, and Say YES to the Dress (the original, based in NY, is the best one by far, IMHO), so when I heard that Food Network’s Cake Challenge silver medal winner Karen M. Vazquez, of Naples’ Kakes by Karen, was baking our Bride and Groom’s cake, I was excited! And as you can tell by the wedding cake photo below, it was beautiful!

Naples Photographer Ashley and Josh’s Engagement on 5th Avenue!

5th Avenue in Naples is a great spot for an engagement photography session! One of the things I look for as a photographer is a location that has lots of texture and background changes in one area. Fifth Avenue has buildings with old bricks, unique photographic backdrops down each side street, a fun park and with the beach just at the end of the street, photographers really couldn’t ask for more.

Enough about the location of our photo-shoot, a photographer can’t get engagement photographs without fantastic clients like Ashley and Josh to take pictures of! They were great to work with, open to any type of photos we wanted to take and Erin finally was able to use a setting she had been thinking about for a long time — an e-session at the Ice Cream shop!

For the Abels family vacationing at Pelican Bay, the Pelican Bay North Beach was the perfect setting for their family portraits. It was raining most of the day, but it did let up long enough to get their photography in and made for some very picturesque clouds!

We hadn’t been to Pelican Bay in a long time; it’s situated between the Naples Grande Beach Resort and the Ritz-Carlton Naples Resort. We discovered just a short walk away the new Strada at Mercato. In addition to Whole Foods Market, which we love, there are several new restaurants! Did I ever mention we are foodies? McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood, AZN Pan-Asian, Piola pizzeria and The Pub Naples give us lots of restaurants to try.
