I titled this one Sanibel Island Wedding Photography, but actually Katherina and Volker were here for a Honeymoon from Germany! So this really was a Trash the Dress (sans any real trashing) or a Day After session. We always find the best lighting for beach photography is either sunset or sunrise. For their photography session we chose the Sanibel Island Lighthouse beach at sunrise (about 6:45 AM on this day). It was a perfect Sanibel Island day too! Not many people on the beach, the air was nice and cool for most of the photo shoot and this photographer had a great time!

Sanibel Island Photographer – Sarah and Jason’s Wedding Anniversary

We love Photography on Sanibel Island! Sarah and Jason were on the Island celebrating their 10thwedding anniversary! We approached their session the same way we would for an engagement photo session on the beach – a relaxing sunset walk with a nice mix of candid and posed photography. Weddings are my favorite type of photography, but a couple in love is always something to celebrate. Sanibel Island, as always, delivered with some great shells washed up on the beach, plenty of birds to watch and the bugs even behaved. I’ve said it before — Engagement Sessions are one of my favorite types of shoots! Kelly and Grant’s Captiva Wedding Photography at ‘Tween Waters

Captiva Weddings don’t get any better than at ‘Tween Waters, and Kelly and Grant’s wedding was no exception.

Georgia and Kyle’s Sanibel Island Engagement Session

One of the great things about being a photographer is being able to share in some of the most treasured moments in our clients lives. We first photographed Georgia and Kyle about 6 months ago for their engagement on Sanibel Island at the Lighthouse. Just a few weeks back, we were privileged to share in their wedding. We’ll have a wedding post up in just a few days, but until then, here are some favorites from their engagement session.

Sanibel Island is one of the best places in Florida for beach photography and the Sanibel Lighthouse and beach are no exception. The Sanibel Island Lighthouse is a great historic landmark which was first lit in 1884 with it’s 102 foot tall light. It’s located on Sanibel Island’s southern point just off Periwinkle Way.
