Hi There! Welcome to our Blog! My name is Erin Wilson and I am the co-owner and primary photographer for Leap Year Photography (TM). We are based in Fort Myers, Florida. We capture portraits and weddings throughout Ft Myers, Naples, Sanibel Island, and Captiva Island.
Our Blog provides a backstage view of our love for photography and especially weddings! As a wedding photographer it is truly a blessing to be able to take part in one of the most love filled, important days of our client’s lives. Likewise, it is so fantastic to be able to capture children and family portraits knowing our clients will enjoy that moment in time for years to come.

We had a great time photographing Meghan and Brian’s wedding at the Sanibel Harbour Resort.
We already knew that it’s a great place for a relaxing weekend, but just recently we discovered what many Couples already know — Sanibel Harbour is a great place for a destination wedding!
Captiva Weddings don’t get any better than at ‘Tween Waters, and Kelly and Grant’s wedding was no exception.
From the beautiful beach ceremony, fantastic sunset, reception at the Wakefield Room, and after hours party at the Crow’s Nest – it was a great celebration!

We love to photograph in the Historic Downtown Fort Myers area. Between the Edison Festival of Lights parade, festivals at Centennial Park, and Harborside Fairs, Downtown Fort Myers has been the place to be! It doesn’t hurt that we live just a few miles away. 🙂

Engagement Sessions (E-sessions) are one of our favorite types of Photo shoots. No pressure, no real time lines, it’s just us & the couple in love! A few weeks back we had the pleasure of shooting an E-session for Sarah and Jacob, Downtown Fort Myers and also just off Fort Myers Beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better Florida sunset — and the couple was pretty great too! 🙂
We’re looking forward to photographing their Wedding at the Edison Home later this year!
