Nothing says summer in Fort Myers more than fireworks on the Fourth of July! If you are planning a trip to any of Southwest Florida’s local beaches on the Fourth, here are the firework times. Fireworks start at dusk at all locations and dusk on the 4th will be approximately 9 PM.
Fourth of July Fireworks from The City of Fort Myers will be located on the Caloosahatchee River viewable from Centennial Park at dusk. Directions via Google Maps
The Fort Myers Beach Independence Day Fireworks display on July 4th will be located off of the Ft Myers Beach Fishing Pier at the Lynn Hall Park, Times Square area at dusk. Directions via Google Maps
The Sanibel Island 4th of July Fireworks display usually takes place from Bailey Road, but the best viewing is from the Sanibel Causeway. Directions via Google Maps
The Cape Coral Red White & Boom Fireworks Celebration takes place after dark from the Cape Coral Bridge on the Fourth of July. Directions via Google Maps
If you plan on photographing fireworks this Independence Day, here are a few tips: use a tripod, try longer shutter speeds, use a low ISO speed (this will keep the light of the fireworks crisp) and most of all don’t use a flash!
